Money!? Sidequests?!? Oh my!

Howdy Gamers,

Sorry I've been quiet for the past few weekz. I've been BUSY AS HECK updating the demo for Steam Next Fest (October Edition) https://store.steampowered.com/sale/nextfest . So in addition to getting the build ready there on steam, I've also updated the build on this page as well!

MAJOR CHANGES

GOLD - enemies now drop casholla. Gold, bags o money. Why do you need this cash you may ask?
FANCY TECHNIQUES MUST BE PURCHASED - Those of you who are familiar with Warp Soldier's current moveset may be surprised that certain moves aren't working. That's because techniques know have to be obtained. The new build has a couple merchants that can sell you ex-moves and other sword techniques.  You can get cash from killing cannon fodder, or by taking part in....
SIDEQUESTS - That "Quest" tab in the pause menu now actually does more than house the "quit to title" button. It will actually do its darn best to keep tag of weird events and questlines you should probably be keeping track of. With that working, I've also added a few NPCs in the world with some strange and reasonable demands.

LAYER SYSTEM - this is more of a neat little piece of gameplay polish/level-design elaboration. Here's an example of it in action:

This took quite a bit of work, but it gives me a TON of flexibility when designing levels. Currently only a few rooms in the demo leverage it, but the number of doors that have opened up thanks to this is immense.

Anyway, lemme know what you think. And as per usual, lmk if anything's busted so I can fix it ASAP.

Also also - I might do a live stream near the start of October during Steam Next Fest. Once I've confirmed some streaming dates, I'll let ya'll know here as well.
